Series: Antheia's Garden
About the Work: One of the Fates, Antheia was the goddess of blossoms, and her garden is a place full of blooms made of hand pressed block prints, hand marbled papers, and hand patterned papers. These blossoms are then embellished with acrylic paint. Bounty is the largest and lushest in the series. The whimsical and spontaneous nature of this series brought me great joy to create.
The fleeting nature of a blossom is a powerful metaphor for the transient nature of life. As a flower's bloom is destined to wither, so too are our own moments of joy, love, and fulfillment. In embracing the ephemeral nature of a blossom, we find solace and inspiration. We appreciate the beauty of each moment, savoring the sweetness of life's fleeting pleasures.
